The Role

We are looking for an Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic white-space customers, based at our Leeds site.

This is a high impact commercial role at the centre of our customer growth strategy. You'll be responsible for developing existing customer relationships while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities within your account portfolio. Success in this role comes from combining strategic account management with consultative business development to maximise customer value and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and develop a portfolio of strategic customer relationships, acting as the primary commercial contact.
  • Develop and execute Account Development Plans (ADPs) to drive long term revenue growth across managed and professional services.
  • Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities within existing customer accounts through proactive business development.
  • Generate and maintain a healthy pipeline of expansion opportunities, consistently progressing opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Prospect into white space within customer organisations, building relationships with new stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews, service reviews and strategic account planning sessions.
  • Drive adoption of wider technology solutions across Networking, Cyber security, cloud, connectivity and managed services, including XDR, SIEM, SD WAN, Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Collaborate with Pre Sales, Technical and Delivery teams to develop customer solutions and successfully close opportunities.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, manage negotiations and oversee the full contract lifecycle, including renewals and upselling.
  • Monitor customer usage, business objectives and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and increased customer value.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue, gross profit and growth targets.

  • 3+ years' experience in Account Management, Business Development or Sales within an MSP, Networking, cybersecurity or IT services environment.
  • Proven ability to generate new revenue through account growth, upselling, cross selling and business development.
  • Demonstrable success managing and expanding mid to large customer accounts against revenue targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating contracts, pricing and multi year agreements.
  • Confident developing pipelines, forecasting opportunities and managing sales activity through a CRM.
  • Consultative sales approach, with the ability to uncover customer challenges and position technology solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Good understanding of modern IT environments, including cloud, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure and managed services.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including IT leaders and business decision makers.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Self motivated, proactive and comfortable identifying opportunities without waiting for inbound enquiries.
  • Highly organised, resilient and able to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment.
