Managing key accounts and delivering complex refractory projects across the aluminium, petrochemical and waste-to-energy sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong sales professional with experience in refractory products, thermal processing or industrial project solutions to drive growth within a specialist, project-led environment.

Our client is a global leader in specialist high-temperature and refractory solutions, supporting customers across industries including aluminium, petrochemical, waste-to-energy, thermal processing and heavy manufacturing. They provide a combination of refractory products, engineering expertise and installation services, helping customers improve asset performance, reliability and operational efficiency.

Description

As Account Manager - you will be responsible for managing key industrial accounts while identifying and developing new project opportunities across the UK. Acting as the link between customers and technical delivery teams, you will support projects from enquiry and specification through to quotation, tender submission and execution.

This is a consultative role requiring strong technical understanding, commercial awareness and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop existing customer accounts.
  • Generate new project opportunities within target industries.
  • Prepare quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Support customers through the full project lifecycle.
  • Build relationships with maintenance, engineering and procurement stakeholders.
  • Drive project growth across aluminium, petrochemical and waste-to-energy sectors.

Profile

The Account Manager will have:

  • Experience in technical sales, account management or project sales within refractory, thermal processing or a related industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of high-temperature industrial processes and refractory applications.
  • Experience managing complex, project works.
  • Commercially astute with strong customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work with technical specifications, tenders and engineered solutions.

Preferred Backgrounds

We are particularly interested in candidates with exposure to:

  • Refractory products and services
  • Furnace and thermal process technologies
  • Aluminium production and processing
  • Petrochemical plants
  • Waste-to-energy and incineration facilities
  • Industrial maintenance and shutdown projects
  • Foundry, metals or heavy manufacturing environments
