Crown Energy is looking for an Account Manager to support business and domestic customers with gas, electricity and water connections.

You’ll manage warm enquiries, build relationships over the phone, understand customer requirements and gather the information needed to turn enquiries into successful projects.

Already have utilities experience? Great. New to the industry? We’d still like to hear from you.

What matters is your ability to learn a process, ask the right questions, build trust quickly and follow opportunities through. We’ll provide the specialist training to develop your utilities knowledge.

You’ll join a small, close-knit team and work with our operations and planning teams to support customers from initial enquiry through to quotation, delivery and completion.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing warm inbound enquiries for gas, electricity and water connections
  • Speaking with B2B and B2C customers to understand their requirements
  • Building strong customer relationships, primarily over the phone
  • Asking the right questions to qualify enquiries and establish project scope
  • Gathering accurate information to enable projects to be assessed and quoted
  • Preparing quotations with support from our operations and planning teams
  • Following up enquiries and quotations to win projects
  • Managing your pipeline and keeping opportunities moving
  • Maintaining accurate customer and project information within our CRM
  • Keeping customers informed throughout their project
  • Building relationships that generate repeat business
  • Working closely with internal teams to support successful project delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in account management, internal sales, target-based customer service or a similar customer-focused role
  • The ability to build rapport and trust quickly over the phone
  • Confidence asking questions and gathering detailed customer information
  • The ability to learn a structured process and apply it to individual projects
  • Confidence following up quotations and asking for the business
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with quotes, figures and customer requirements
  • A proactive, reliable approach and the determination to see opportunities through
  • Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, or similar systems

Experience within utilities, gas, electricity, water, energy, construction or infrastructure is an advantage, but not essential.
