Account Manager

Location: Christchurch – Multi-Site

Salary: £37,500 – £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to join a growing business based in Christchurch.

This is a varied, relationship-led role where you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, becoming their main point of contact while identifying opportunities to develop accounts and drive growth.

The position is based in Christchurch but will involve working across multiple locations within the local area, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being visible with their customers and building strong relationships face-to-face.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of client accounts
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with key customer contacts
  • Creating tailored account plans to support client and business growth
  • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and gross profit within existing accounts
  • Building and maintaining a strong business development pipeline
  • Acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day client requirements
  • Visiting and working across multiple locations within the local area
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Proactively resolving client issues and identifying solutions
  • Monitoring client satisfaction and service levels
  • Preparing and reviewing SLA reports, sales projections and forecasts
  • Using performance data to identify trends and commercial opportunities
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice across the wider team

What we're looking for

We're looking for a commercially minded and relationship-focused Account Manager who is confident taking ownership of their accounts and spotting opportunities for growth.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous Account Management, Client Services or similar commercial experience
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience developing and growing existing customer accounts
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Confidence working with reports, forecasts and performance data
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations

Hours, salary & benefits

This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

You'll work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, based on a standard 40-hour working week, with some travel between locations in the local area required.

Starting salary will be dependent on experience, with a salary band of £37,500 – £40,000 per annum.
