Account Manager – Data Centre Solutions | £50,000 - £60,000, depending on experience | UK or Ireland

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

The Opportunity

An established provider of engineered solutions for mission-critical and data centre environments is seeking an experienced Key Account Sales Manager.

The business designs, manufactures and installs specialist infrastructure, including hot and cold aisle containment, server cabinets and secure cage systems. Its customers include leading data centre operators and global hyperscale organisations.

You will manage and develop strategically important customer accounts while identifying opportunities to grow revenue across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with internal design, manufacturing and installation teams, you will ensure each customer receives a solution tailored to its operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Develop and implement structured account plans.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
  • Generate new business across the data centre and construction markets.
  • Build relationships with operators, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand customers’ technical and commercial requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to develop bespoke engineered solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations and commercial submissions.
  • Lead negotiations and support opportunities through to contract award.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts.
  • Monitor market activity, customer investment plans and emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.

Skills And Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience within construction sales, technical sales or key account management.
  • A strong track record of managing and growing major customer accounts.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and secure high-value opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship-management ability.
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams.
  • Experience within data centres, critical infrastructure, technology or specialist construction would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of containment systems, server cabinets, security cages or data centre fit-out solutions would be beneficial.
  • A degree in business, marketing or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
