The Account/Senior Manager

The Account/Senior Manager is a mid-senior level, client-facing role responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key accounts, delivering exceptional service, and driving commercial growth. Working within the events and event technology sector, the role focuses on building long-term client partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring tailored solutions are delivered to meet client objectives.

While this is primarily a non-operational position, the Account Manager will attend selected events to strengthen client relationships, gain first-hand insight into event delivery, and identify opportunities to enhance future services and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, developing trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of each client's business, objectives, event programmes, and technology requirements to provide tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stakeholder mapping, continually identifying and developing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across client organisations.
  • Adapt communication and engagement style to meet the needs of different clients and stakeholders.

Business Development

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry events, and proactive prospecting.
  • Present creative event concepts and technology solutions to prospective clients.
  • Maximise revenue by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services across the business.
  • Analyse client spend, identify growth opportunities, and demonstrate the value and return on investment delivered to clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
