Account Manager

This position is within a Wellcom Studio that is onsite at a major client’s Central London office. You will be working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment across both online and offline media.

About the Role

The Account Manager will act as the main point of contact for the client and will be responsible for fostering client relationships at all levels and managing all ongoing creative requirements, whilst exercising overall responsibility for the creative output and client relationship. They will also be the first point of contact for the Xcalibre Account Managers, with whom they will work closely on costings and the status of catalogue production. The main responsibilities will include defining and managing project timelines, budgets and scope of work, as well as maintaining client relationships and reporting to and working closely with the account leadership team.

Responsibilities

• The ability to maintain an excellent relationship with the client through constant communication, creative thinking, and problem-solving, from brief through to final result analysis.
• Define, plan, and manage projects that include digital and print deliverables.
• Be accountable and responsible for the end-to-end process, including photography, image editing, catalogue creation (design and artworking), and catalogue printing.
• Work with the Image Editing, Studio Production, and Photography teams, as well as global counterparts, to track and manage resources and anticipate possible issues.
• Create and update project documentation, including project briefing documents, schedules, timing plans, and budgets.
• Liaise directly with clients and run pre-sale meetings and debriefs.
• Liaise directly with Xcalibre on print specifications, page counts, and additional costs, and, most importantly, provide regular status updates on production progress and any impact on the final approved PDF delivery.
• Be proactive in adding value to client briefs by helping to develop and enhance them, suggesting ways they can be brought to life.
• Be proactive in managing the expectations of internal and client teams.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance internal processes, workflows, and project standards.
• Be an advocate for new Christie's and Wellcom technology enhancements and applications.
• Deliver projects on time, to specification, and within budget.
• Act as the immediate point of escalation for issues and concerns.
• Identify areas of inefficiency and duplication and proactively report and resolve them.
• Ensure effective adherence to agreed SLAs, KPIs, processes, project planning, WIP reporting, QC processes, and other relevant procedures.
• Collaborate with NY, Paris, and HK counterparts to share knowledge and establish best practices across the globe.
