Picture your workday filled with conversations that ignite scientific breakthroughs - cures for disease, sustainable food, and green energy. If you're a naturally passionate and proactive communicator, we need you. Join our 'geeky' Somerset team and become the bridge between brilliant minds and the tools they need. You'll thrive on building relationships and turning insights into action, all while connecting with the scientists who are shaping our future. If you love inspiring conversations and making a tangible impact, this is your chance to shine.

The role

Imagine your workdays chatting with passionate scientists who are making a real difference: cures for disease, sustainable food supply, green replacements for fossil fuels and plastics to name a few. Are you yearning to escape the daily grind and build some new purposeful relationships?

If…

  • Your warm nature naturally puts people at ease, making them feel comfortable and open.
  • You’re tech-savvy.
  • You're highly motivated, goal-setting, and consistently proactive.
  • You’re a skilled communicator, adept at listening, empathising, and crafting persuasive steps forward.

…then this role could be for you.

The team

You will report directly to and be supported by the Head of Sales and form a crucial part of the Sales team. You will work especially closely with our Channel Manager and Sales Administrator; the Marketing, Business Development, Logistics, Support, and Finance teams; as well as our wonderful customers and collaborators.

How do you fit in?

You’ll be empowering scientists across the globe with robotics to accelerate their research and change the world, every day.

You will have the chance to help shape your responsibilities and perhaps even grow it into a full department over time.

You will be…

  • Building strong relationships with key customers, acting as their trusted advisor and partner to help them achieve their desired outcomes and drive business growth.
  • Creating and delivering persuasive proposals, with demonstrations that showcase the value proposition and secure new deals.
  • Ensuring smooth onboarding and providing ongoing engagement with existing customers.

Developing you

At Singer Instruments, we believe in fostering a culture of learning and growth. We're committed to helping you develop your skills and expand your horizons. This role offers a unique opportunity to explore different areas and shape your career path based on your interests and strengths. Some of the hats you could get to try on (if you’re interested) include:

  • Events and Outreach: Represent Singer Instruments at international scientific conferences, connecting with researchers and showcasing our latest innovations.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Dive into market trends, customer insights, and data analysis to inform our strategies and drive growth.
  • Project Management: Take the lead on exciting projects, honing your organisational and leadership skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
