The Role
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in growing and retaining strategic client accounts by aligning client goals with VSI's localisation services. You will build strong, long-term relationships with clients while ensuring excellent service delivery, commercial success, and a positive client experience throughout the partnership.
Working closely with clients, internal teams, and external vendors, you will act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts. You will help identify growth opportunities, support operational excellence, and contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen client relationships and drive business performance.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients to support long-term retention and satisfaction.
- Develop and deliver account plans aligned with client objectives and VSI business goals.
- Identify and drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across VSI services.
- Act as the main escalation point for client issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
- Lead regular client meetings, business reviews, and performance discussions.
- Manage internal communications and coordinate stakeholders across VSI studios to support client success.
- Partner with Technology and Development teams to implement tools and workflow improvements.
- Achieve revenue and gross margin targets across your assigned accounts.
- Prepare competitive quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial recommendations.
- Support Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and client rate-card reviews.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, opportunities, and forecasts within customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Finance, and Vendor Management teams to ensure effective service delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and negotiate cost-effective rates while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor service level agreement (SLA) performance and support account reporting activities.
- Keep CRM and Pipedrive records accurate and up to date.
- Provide regular updates on account performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Analyse account data, trends, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Stay informed about localisation industry developments, competitor activity, and evolving client needs.

What We Are Looking For
- 3-5+ years' experience in account management, client services, or a commercial role.
- Strong understanding of commercial forecasting, profitability, and revenue growth.
- Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate account and pipeline information.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness and a results-focused approach.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Proactive and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify opportunities and manage risks.
- Adaptability and resilience in a changing business environment.

It Would Be Helpful If You Have
- Experience within localisation, media localisation, translation, dubbing, subtitling, or related language services industries.
- Experience using platforms such as Pipedrive, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
