Cornerstone currently has an opportunity for a talented, driven, and experienced Marketing Account Manager to join our growing agency.
Known for our passion for the industry; our ability to achieve the impossible and provide outstanding work; and our client satisfaction and results, we are looking to recruit an account manager that is highly motivated and a strong communicator and planner, as well as being an excellent people person who is up for taking on new and demanding challenges.
The role will involve the strategic management of multiple client accounts to exceptional standards; self-managing deadlines, projects, and internal processes; and building client relationships that last. All this requires multi-tasking while maintaining outstanding levels of attention to detail for clients and their campaigns.
Key Skills
- A Marketer: Marketing trained to a degree or CIM level, with practical experience of implementing solid marketing strategy and tactics across multiple accounts
- A People Person: You need to enjoy and be confident in building positive and long-standing professional relationships with clients and colleagues alike. We aren't a faceless organisation. We pick up the phone, have conversations, and visit in person for the best outcomes
- Client-Centric: Able to understand the client's needs and objectives and then drive the marketing strategy and results that relate back to these in a tangible way so the client sees real value and ROI coming from their investment in us. We don't live in a marketing bubble and throw vanity metrics at them - you'll need to learn the client's business inside out and report results in a way that's meaningful to them
- Commercially Driven: Able to scope, quote, and manage client budgets independently to ensure profitable completion of all projects and contract delivery. You will control all aspects of a client's budget and are responsible for the profitability of your accounts and projects. You'll also be responsible for growing your accounts in a meaningful way, making suggestions to clients for additional projects or contract increases with their needs and objectives in mind
- Time Management, Organisation, and Planning: Ensuring multiple projects are completed on time, budget, and with all required parts of the process followed accurately, including managing expectations of clients and internal stakeholders. As the person responsible for the planning, coordination, and timely completion of your projects, you'll need exceptional organisational skills, proactive thinking about dependencies, and be comfortable managing changing priorities
- Detail Oriented and Exceptionally High Quality Standards: Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, brand identity, consistency, and creativity is required. You will need to proof all outputs before client delivery to ensure they are aligned with brief, strategy, and client goals and uphold our reputation of exceptional quality
- Fully Integrated: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the full marketing mix spanning creative, digital, PR, and web. You should be able to connect the dependencies across customer journeys in strategies and campaigns to achieve the best results for your client
- Briefing and Brief Taking: Be able to interpret client requests and transform those into a solid and well-thought, through internal brief which adds value for the client and relates everything back to overarching objectives
- Communication: You should be a strong communicator, both verbally and written; able to articulate requirements, outcomes, and goals succinctly and effectively while adapting your approach depending on the recipient or audience
- Planning: A natural planner and organiser both of your own projects and the teams and clients you work with

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
