Account Manager / Senior Account Manager – PR

Aerospace, Defence & Security | B2B PR & Communications

About Clear B2B

Clear B2B is an award-winning B2B PR and marketing agency with 35+ years of experience turning strategic goals into measurable results. We work with global brands across aerospace & space, defence & security, construction, automotive, health & safety and industrial sectors. We’ve recently had a run of new client wins and are growing our aerospace and defence portfolio, so we need an experienced PR professional to help us bolster the team, deliver brilliant work at pace, and act as a genuine extension of our clients’ in-house teams.

The role

We’re after a proactive, go-getting PR professional who isn’t afraid to pick up the phone, and who thrives on building and maintaining relationships with both mainstream media and trade press. You’ll manage multiple client accounts at once, keeping every plate spinning, and you’ll enjoy the pace and variety that comes with working across a broad client portfolio.

This is a hands-on role in a small, close-knit team. Everyone mucks in when it gets busy, so a flexible, team-first attitude matters as much as PR craft. Because our clients operate globally, the role requires travel to major industry events, conferences and client meetings.

What you’ll be doing

  • Client leadership: act as the trusted day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, building the kind of long-standing, embedded relationships Clear B2B is known for.
  • Media relations: proactively pitch and secure coverage across mainstream and trade press, building a strong network of journalist contacts in aerospace, defence and security.
  • Proactive PR: spot newsworthy angles, develop story ideas and get on the phone to make things happen, rather than waiting for opportunities to land.
  • Programme delivery: plan and deliver multi-channel PR programmes – from strategy through to content, copywriting, social media and events – for several clients simultaneously.
  • Events & travel: represent Clear B2B and its clients at major industry events, exhibitions and conferences, including international travel as required.
  • Account management: manage budgets, timelines, reporting and administration so client programmes run smoothly and nothing slips.
  • Team support: support the wider team wherever needed during busy periods, and support and mentor junior team members as your experience grows.
  • New business: contribute ideas and support to pitches and Clear B2B’s own profile-raising activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

  • Solid PR experience: several years in a PR role, ideally agency-side, with hands-on experience of B2B or technical brands. Aerospace and defence sector experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Curious and well-informed: a follower of current affairs who can connect the wider news agenda to our clients’ businesses and bring genuine insight to client discussions. You’ll have a natural appetite to learn about aerospace, defence and security, even if you’re new to the sector.
  • A proactive, go-getting mindset: confident picking up the phone, chasing a story, spotting opportunities and pushing things forward without waiting to be asked.
  • Brilliant relationship-builder: a natural at building and maintaining trusted relationships with mainstream media, trade press, clients and colleagues alike.
  • Resilient multi-tasker: able to manage several clients at once, and work at pace without losing attention to detail. Being incredibly organised is a must.
  • A true consultant, not a supplier: confident taking the lead, shaping plans and constructively challenging client thinking.
  • Strong writer: able to turn technical, complex subject matter into clear, compelling content across formats.
  • Flexible team player: happy to travel for events and client meetings, and to pitch in wherever the team needs support.
  • Organised and detail-focused: comfortable owning budgets, reporting and admin, and someone who instinctively spots the typo.
