Schedule: Full time (37.5 hours per week). 12 month fixed term contract

About the Role
We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll generate, build, and grow strong partnerships with employers across Wales turning business needs into real job opportunities for our participants. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure the right candidates are matched to the right roles, helping placements succeed and delivering high-quality employment and skills outcomes.
What you’ll do as an Account Manager
- Manage and develop a minimum of 10 key employer accounts within a specified sector, acting as the main point of contact and building trusted relationships
- Promote Serco’s full employment, skills, and training offer to grow existing accounts and position Serco as the partner of choice for new accounts, including pre- and post-employment support
- Work closely with Resourcers, clearly communicating employer expectations to support effective screening and placements, ensuring roles are filled with suitable learners at pace
- Track and report on key metrics including placements, satisfaction, sustainability, and repeat usage, providing updates to the Strategic Account Manager and stakeholders
- Use data insights to improve account management, employer engagement, and service quality, sharing recommendations with the Strategic Account Manager

- Proven experience in sales, business development, recruitment, or employer engagement, ideally in a high-volume environment
- Qualified to NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent qualification or experience)
- A sound understanding of the skills and employability sector, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
- A data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience developing strategies and translating them into actionable plans
- Strong organization and time management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Vetting and checks:
This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be required to ensure we can offer appropriate support for your wellbeing and performance.
