About the Role
THSP is looking for an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of higher-value and more complex customers.
You will build strong relationships with business owners, senior decision-makers and key customer contacts. You will make sure they receive clear value from THSP’s Health & Safety and HR services while taking responsibility for renewals, retention and account growth.
This is a commercial account management role. You will need to understand each customer’s business, identify risks early, lead renewal discussions and recognise where additional THSP services could provide useful support.
You will also bring the right people together internally, working across our Account Executive, Consultancy, Training, Sales and Operations teams to make sure commitments are delivered and problems are resolved.
Responsibilities
- You will own and develop a portfolio of strategically important, higher-value or complex customer accounts.
- You will create account plans and lead structured customer review meetings with senior stakeholders.
- You will take responsibility for retention and renewals, identifying risks early and agreeing clear recovery actions where needed.
- You will identify and progress relevant opportunities to grow accounts through additional Health & Safety, HR, training and consultancy services.
- You will oversee customer onboarding, planned consultancy activity, quotations and service delivery across your portfolio.
- You will act as an escalation point for complex enquiries, account concerns and service issues.
- You will support and guide Account Executives and help improve how the wider department works.
- You will maintain accurate CRM records and a clear forecast of renewals, retention risks and account growth opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

- You will be organised, proactive and comfortable managing several priorities without losing sight of the customer or the commercial outcome.
