I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Agency experience is important. Experience working with tourism boards, destinations, airlines, hotels or other travel brands would be a bonus, but it’s not essential if you have strong agency experience and a genuine interest in travel.
Why MDSG?
You’ll be joining a passionate, entrepreneurial team working on exciting international campaigns for destinations and travel brands around the world.
We’re not a huge agency with layers of hierarchy. You’ll work directly with senior members of the business, our clients and specialist teams, giving you exposure to different parts of the marketing mix and plenty of opportunity to develop.
We want people to contribute ideas rather than simply manage a process, and you’ll have the chance to get involved in everything from international advertising campaigns and content partnerships to brand activations, influencer projects and new business pitches.
MDSG has been named Agency of the Year twice at the Travel Marketing Awards, and most recently picked up four awards at the 2026 Travel Marketing Awards for our work across international tourism campaigns.
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, good with people and keen to become an important part of a growing agency.
