The role
Hexegic are hiring an Account Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth within the Central Government and Defence sector, with a particular focus on data science, data engineering and IT infrastructure projects delivered in UK security cleared environments. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly contribute to revenue growth, long-term client success, and the delivery of secure, mission-critical capability.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives to secure new clients within the Central Government Defence sector
- Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
- Identify and shape opportunities aligning with company capabilities, creating winning proposals for technology services that address client challenges
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across sales, delivery, engineering, data, security and commercial functions to design and deliver tailored solutions for client requirements
- Manage orders and contracts in partnership with commercial and delivery teams
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders through regular engagement and strategic account development
- Contribute to company strategy by reviewing and refining business and account plans, ensuring alignment with market trends and client needs

What we are looking for
- Proven experience in business development and account management within defence, security, or government sectors
- Strong track record of breaking into new client accounts and delivering multi-year deals in security cleared or sensitive delivery environments
- In-depth understanding of UK public sector procurement frameworks and processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to deliver innovative solutions
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel to client sites; a valid driving licence is required

- Base salary of £65,000-£75,000

Note: this is a remote role, however the successful candidate will be expected to attend customer sites across the South of England in the execution of their responsibilities. Candidates are also required to hold at least an active SC security clearance, and be willing and eligible to obtain DV.
