Account Manager – Life Sciences

We are working with a leading global life sciences organisation to recruit an Account Manager to join their commercial team. This is a field-based position responsible for driving sales across a defined territory, managing both new and existing accounts and representing a broad portfolio of scientific instruments, reagents, consumables, and services.

The Role

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a territory sales strategy, identifying new opportunities, and growing relationships across existing customer accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets across your designated territory
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans
  • Identify new sales opportunities and convert leads into business
  • Manage and develop relationships with new and existing customers
  • Conduct customer visits and product demonstrations
  • Provide technical support and initial troubleshooting where required
  • Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM
  • Monitor competitor activity and wider market trends
  • Work collaboratively with internal commercial and technical teams to maximize account growth

About You

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD within a relevant scientific discipline
  • 2–4+ years' experience within life sciences sales and/or research
  • Background in Immunology and/or Molecular Biology preferred
  • Previous commercial or customer-facing experience within the life sciences market
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable discussing technical products and applications with scientific customers
  • Commercially driven with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Able to manage a territory independently
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the territory
