Account Manager – B2B Energy Sales
Runcorn (Office based)
Up to £35,000 base salary plus uncapped commission (£60K plus OTE)
We’re supporting a growing commercial energy and utilities business that helps organisations across the UK secure the right energy solutions and reduce costs.
Founded in 2015, this business is an established commercial energy and utilities procurement specialist supporting organisations across the UK.
They’re recruiting for an Account Manager to join their sales team, focusing on converting qualified opportunities, building customer relationships and closing new business.
They are entering an exciting period of growth, with ambitious plans to significantly expand the team over the coming years. This creates genuine opportunities for progression and career development as the business continues to grow.
About the Role
- Manage a pipeline of pre-qualified B2B opportunities, converting enquiries into successful contracts.
- Speak with business customers over the phone to understand their requirements and recommend suitable energy solutions.
- Work with a consistent flow of warm, pre-qualified leads, there is no cold calling or self-generated lead generation required.
- Build strong relationships with customers through a consultative sales approach.
- Take ownership of the full sales process, from initial enquiry through to contract completion.
- Work towards sales targets with the opportunity to earn significant commission based on performance.

About You
This role would suit someone who enjoys the sales process and closing, rather than a traditional Business Development role focused on cold calling, networking or generating new leads.
We’re looking for someone who is confident on the phone, commercially driven and enjoys working in a target-focused sales environment.

You’ll ideally have experience in:
- B2B sales, ideally within energy brokerage, utilities or a similar consultative sales environment.
- Managing inbound sales enquiries and converting opportunities into customers.
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending the right solutions.
- Building rapport quickly and developing strong customer relationships.
- Managing your own pipeline, targets and sales activity.
- Negotiating and closing deals confidently.
