Account Manager
Money stress is the biggest productivity killer in the workplace - My Money Matters exists to change that. We're building an app that improves employees' finances automatically every pay day - giving them financial tools that directly improve their financial health with less effort.
Every pay day is an opportunity to build better money habits. We make it easy. Employees can accelerate retirement savings with tax-efficient pension top-ups, build a safety net effortlessly with auto savings, or access their already-earned salary ahead of pay day for emergencies.
For employers, fewer employees with money worries means more focus on work. We're trusted by major organisations including the NHS, and we're growing fast.
Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you own the growth of a portfolio of Tier 1 and Tier 2 public sector employers. Your priority is expanding what each customer takes from My Money Matters, and converting single-product renewals into platform renewals.
Many of our customers start with one product, most often shared-cost AVCs (SCAVCs). Your job is to bring them onto the full platform, including on-demand pay and Auto Savings, and to grow the number of employees using it. Because we earn when employees use the service, adoption is growth.
Retention is the foundation, but success is measured by growth: more products per employer, more employees engaged, and renewals that land on broader platform agreements. This is a commercially-led, target-carrying role.
The role is hybrid (1-2 days per week in our London office), with occasional travel for customer meetings, engagement events, and strategic sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Expansion
- Own and deliver an expansion target across your portfolio
- Build an account plan for each customer, mapping current products, whitespace, and the route to the full platform
- Take expansion from discovery through business case, proposal, and close, positioning on-demand pay, Auto Savings, and new products
- Drive employee take-up with each employer, since usage is what turns contracts into revenue
- Keep CRM, pipeline, and forecasts accurate
Platform Renewal Conversion
- Own renewal outcomes for your portfolio, with the aim of converting single-product renewals into platform renewals
- Start renewal planning 9–12 months ahead of contract end, so value delivered and the platform case are evidenced well before any formal window
- Negotiate scope, pricing, and contract length, and close
- Read public sector procurement and contractual constraints (framework terms, call-off and extension options, modification thresholds) and use them to shape the timing and route of each conversion

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Marketing: employee engagement campaigns and customer case studies
- Product: feedback customer insight and pilot new products with your accounts
- Be the voice of the customer internally and share best practice with the wider team
How Success Is Measured
- Growth measures come first; retention is the baseline you protect.

| Net revenue retention | Portfolio revenue growth after churn and contraction |
| Expansion revenue vs target | New revenue closed from existing accounts |
| Platform conversion rate | Share of renewals converted to platform agreements |
| Employee take-up | Share of eligible employees using each product |
| Gross revenue retention | Revenue kept, before expansion |

What the Role Is Not
- A reactive support role
- An onboarding or implementation position
- A renewals admin role: the job is to grow contracts, not roll them over
- A new business role: your growth comes from your existing portfolio
This role suits someone who wants direct commercial ownership of a portfolio and is motivated by growing it, as comfortable negotiating a platform renewal in the boardroom as they are building the account plan that gets it there.
