Account Manager – B2B Events & Media
📍Location: Surrey (3 days in office)
💰Salary: £30,000–£40,000k + OTE commission
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to join a fast-growing, award-winning media and events business, working across a portfolio of specialist exhibitions and events.
Reporting directly to the Event Manager, this is a highly commercial role and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive or Sales Representative looking to take the next step in their career.
You will play a key role in driving revenue, developing client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the event portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed agreed KPIs, revenue targets and sales objectives
- Manage and develop your own sales pipeline using the company's CRM system
- Generate new business through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Confidently conduct sales conversations and close opportunities over the phone
- Build strong, long-term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors and commercial partners
- Identify opportunities to maximise revenue across the event portfolio
- Attend relevant competitor exhibitions and industry events to identify prospects and generate new business
- Ensure all sales documentation, contracts and paperwork are accurate and completed within agreed processes
- Work closely with Event Managers and wider sales teams to share leads, ideas and opportunities
- Collaborate across different events and departments to maximise cross-selling opportunities
- Take ownership of your accounts, pipeline and commercial performance
- Follow internal processes and procedures to ensure high standards of service and delivery
- Contribute to a driven, commercially focused culture and help identify new ways to improve sales performance

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, ambitious and motivated by achieving results.
You may currently be working as a:
- Sales Executive
- Sales Representative
- Business Development Executive
- Account Executive
- Junior Account Manager
- Events Sales Executive
- Sponsorship Sales Executive
Experience within B2B media, exhibitions, events, publishing, sponsorship or a similar commercial environment would be advantageous, but we're also interested in ambitious sales professionals looking to make their next career move.

- Proven experience in a target-driven sales environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence speaking to clients and prospects over the phone
- A proactive and resilient approach to business development
- Strong organisational and CRM skills
- A genuine desire to develop your career within commercial events and media
- The motivation to take ownership of your targets and deliver results
