Account Manager — Cisco solutions, £70k base, £140k OTE, global technology powerhouse
£70,000 base | £140,000 OTE | Hybrid | Slough (2 days/week)
Our client is a global technology business operating at billion-dollar scale — one of the most significant Cisco partners in the world. They're looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of enterprise accounts, selling Cisco solutions and competitive alternatives across a broad technology portfolio.
This is a replacement hire with an established account base to step into. The commission structure is 50/50 — £70k base, £70k on-target commission — and the accounts, the brand, and the vendor relationships are all in place. You need to bring the hunger, the relationship skills, and the commercial instinct to make it work.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Manage and develop a portfolio of enterprise accounts — building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue growth
- Sell Cisco solutions and competitive technology alternatives across networking, security, and infrastructure
- Own the full sales cycle — from opportunity identification through to close
- Work closely with pre-sales and technical teams to position the right solutions for each customer
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting
- Represent the business at a senior level with enterprise customers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
