We are excited to share that our MedComms department are seeking an account manager with publications experience to join the UK based team, able to work hybrid / remote from the London Head Office.

Responsibilities / Position overview

The Account Manager will ensure successful management of accounts on a day-to-day basis from the execution to completion of client projects. As the Account Manager, you serve as the primary client contact and will be responsible for facilitating and tracking projects and financial deliverables and work closely with the project team members to communicate client needs and expectations, ensure timelines are developing, and potential issues are identified and resolved.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Prepare for and lead internal and client status meetings
  • Understand and ensure the team follows all client required standard operating procedures and requirements
  • Alert other internal departments of resourcing needs
  • Draft scope of work and budgets based on client direction and ensure internal alignment and approval before submitting to client for review/approval/processing
  • Monitor and adhere to approved budgets
  • Report budget changes (i.e. change in scope that may lead to overage) to the client in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate financial spreadsheets to support internal and client needs
  • Submit invoices, accruals, etc. in a timely manner consistent with both internal and client directed SOPs
  • Prepare for and is accountable for actions discussed in monthly revenue and forecasting meetings
  • Provide timely and accurate project status updates and client requested reports
  • Actively strive to drive organic growth on assigned accounts by developing and maintaining excellent, positive client relationships and providing a high-quality service
  • Support and guide junior members of the team; provide training and mentoring on administrative and process-related tasks as required
  • Work efficiently with members of the Meeting Planning department in a proactive and organized manner to ensure proper coordination and execution of virtual and live events

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 plus years of account management experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Excellent project management skills, including organization, prioritization, and delegating
  • Demonstrated understanding of the clinical development process and strategic communication planning
  • Excellent financial acumen
