Account Manager

Location: Poole

Salary: £31,500 – £38,000 per annum (including OTE)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm | 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Bonus: Monthly profit share bonus scheme

The Opportunity

TeamJobs is working with a successful, fast-paced, and forward-thinking business in Poole that is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join its office-based Sales team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves building customer relationships, spotting commercial opportunities, and delivering an excellent level of service. You'll manage and develop existing customer accounts while working closely with the wider sales team to identify opportunities for growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Making proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase account growth and profitability.
  • Cross-selling existing and new product ranges.
  • Managing quote requests and following up opportunities through to completion.
  • Booking appointments and opportunities for the BDM team.
  • Analysing customer accounts to identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date.
  • Working closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Monitoring customer feedback and identifying opportunities to improve service.
  • Staying up to date with relevant industry and product trends.
  • Managing customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Supporting customer account reviews alongside BDMs and Sales Support.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous B2B or B2C sales/account management experience.
  • Confidence selling over the phone and through virtual meetings.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify additional revenue opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems would be advantageous.
  • An appetite to develop product and industry knowledge.
