Politics geek wanted
Fenton Fitzwilliam launched in the UK earlier this year, and we're already nine strong in London.
We're a specialist public affairs and corporate communications advisory firm working with organisations navigating some of the most complex and consequential policy challenges of our time: the energy transition, infrastructure investment, technology, defence, telecoms regulation and pharmaceutical policy.
Our clients don't just need a seat at the table, they need to be genuinely understood by the people making decisions that affect them. That's our founding principle, and it shapes everything we do.
We're the kind of team that will happily debate the implications of a government consultation over lunch, pull apart the latest announcement from No10 as we put the kettle on, and argue passionately about which select committee chair is doing the best job - and have a very good time doing it. We even have a politics-inspired Spotify playlist to prove it.
If that sounds like your kind of workplace, read on.
About Us
We sit within the Paritee network alongside Brands2Life, one of the UK's most celebrated communications agencies, home to some of the world's most innovative and disruptive technology, health and consumer brands.
We share an office with them, making it a vibrant, big and busy environment to work in.
That relationship means our team benefits from shared expertise, world-class resources and a creative, ambitious agency culture, while doing specialist work in the sectors that matter most. It's a genuinely unusual combination: the focus and agility of a specialist firm, with the depth and reach of an established, award-winning agency platform alongside it.
We launched in Dublin and Brussels before expanding into the UK with offices in Glasgow and London. In a short space of time we've built a team of experienced public affairs professionals drawn from some of the best agencies and political environments in the business. Now we're growing, and we're looking for a fellow political obsessive to join us.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll be doing
As an Account Manager in our Public Affairs team, you’ll be at the heart of our client relationships: taking day-to-day ownership of accounts and projects, helping clients understand the political and regulatory environment around them, and turning that insight into smart, effective public affairs activity.
Working alongside senior advisers and managing junior colleagues, day to day that means:
- Monitoring and interpreting the political landscape, distinguishing signal from noise and translating complex developments into clear advice
- Leading stakeholder engagement, including identifying the right decision-makers, influencers and partners, securing meetings and producing high-quality briefings and meeting materials.
- Producing excellent written work, from political updates and briefing documents to messaging, consultation submissions, thought leadership and campaign materials.
- Taking day-to-day ownership of client accounts and projects, managing junior colleagues, overseeing delivery, and making sure work is delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Supporting new business and account growth, including research and pitch preparation.
- Contributing to a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where everyone has a stake in what we’re building.
What we’re looking for
This role is for someone who is, first and foremost, a current affairs geek, with:
- Public affairs agency experience. You understand how great client accounts and campaigns are run and are comfortable taking meaningful day-to-day responsibility for them.
- A strong understanding of UK politics and policymaking, and a genuine interest in current affairs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complicated political, policy and business issues into clear, compelling advice and content.
- Curiosity, initiative and commercial awareness. You’ll ask good questions, challenge assumptions, spot opportunities and bring ideas to the table rather than waiting to be asked.
- A collaborative mindset. We’re building a new team and want people who enjoy sharing ideas, supporting colleagues and contributing to something bigger than their own accounts.
- An interest or experience in one or more of our core sectors is a bonus, but not essential – we’ll help you develop that knowledge.
