Account Manager – 6-Month FTC
Earls Colne, Essex | £32,000–£33,000
We are recruiting for an Account Manager to join a growing, fast-paced B2B service business on a six-month fixed-term contract.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing accounts proactively and working closely with internal operational teams to make sure customers receive an excellent service.
You’ll be the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of business customers, taking ownership of queries, resolving issues effectively and identifying ways to strengthen relationships and add value.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of B2B customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with key client contacts and understand their requirements
- Act as a main point of contact for customer queries, requests and service issues
- Work closely with operations and other internal teams to ensure services are delivered effectively
- Handle escalations professionally, keeping customers informed through to resolution
- Monitor account performance and support with reporting, reviews and service improvements
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and strengthen commercial relationships
- Maintain accurate customer information and activity records on internal systems

About you:
- Previous experience in account management, customer success, client services or a commercially focused customer-facing role
- Comfortable managing B2B customer relationships and handling a varied workload
- Confident resolving problems and working with colleagues across different functions
- Commercially aware, with a proactive and relationship-led approach
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills
- Able to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused when dealing with issues or changing priorities
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Excel and reporting tools
