Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Key Account Manager role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Key Account Manager will manage and grow relationships with a prestigious rail client, acting as a primary point of contact for all contractual and operational matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding client business needs, developing account plans, coordinating service delivery with internal teams, and monitoring performance against agreed standards. You will be managing an experienced team of Schedulers, Duty Managers, and Operations Managers. The role involves analyzing account data, identifying opportunities for service improvements and expansion, preparing reports and proposals, and ensuring contractual compliance. The Key Account Manager will also handle issue resolution, support tender and renewal processes, and contribute to maintaining STM’s high quality and customer service standards.

  • Strong account management experience, including oversight of key accounts and long-term client relationship development.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting account performance data, identifying trends, and supporting business decisions.
  • Business planning capabilities, including creating account plans, forecasting revenue, and supporting commercial growth initiatives.
  • Proven customer service skills, with the ability to manage expectations, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Experience in the security, cleaning, facilities management, or related manpower services sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations and support teams, and to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • Competence in using MS Office and relevant CRM or account management tools; strong reporting and presentation skills.
  • Relevant professional experience in key account management; a qualification in business, management, or a related field is an advantage.
