Account Manager

MYGroup – Hull
Permanent | Full-time
Salary | £35,000 - £40,000 p/a

MYGroup is a Yorkshire-based recycling and waste management business working with some of the UK's leading brands to develop innovative recycling, waste management, and circular economy solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of established brand customers. This is a commercially focused account management role with no outbound sales or cold-calling responsibility. The focus is on building strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their wider sustainability and waste challenges, and identifying opportunities to grow those accounts through additional services, products, and projects.

The Role

You will take ownership of a portfolio of existing customer accounts, acting as the key link between the customer and the different areas of MYGroup. Alongside maintaining strong day-to-day relationships, a key part of the role will be identifying opportunities to increase the value of those relationships – whether through additional recycling and waste services, new products, closed-loop projects, or other areas of the business. You will work closely with internal teams to bring together the right expertise and ensure opportunities are developed and delivered effectively.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

An interest in sustainability, recycling, or the circular economy would be highly desirable. Previous experience in recycling, waste management, sustainability, manufacturing, or another B2B service environment would also be beneficial, but is not essential.

Why MYGroup?

MYGroup works across recycling, waste management, manufacturing, and circular economy projects, giving our Account Managers the opportunity to offer customers much more than a single service.

This is not a traditional outbound sales role. You will be working with an established customer portfolio and will have the opportunity to deepen relationships with global brands in a range of sectors, develop new solutions, and bring together different parts of MYGroup to support customers' wider objectives.

For the right person, there is significant scope to develop alongside both their customer portfolio and MYGroup.
