In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing strong customer partnerships, creating and delivering joint business plans, and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business. You’ll work closely with our Key Account Managers, Regional Development Managers, DDC stores and wider support teams to ensure seamless service, strong commercial execution and successful “Paint on Wall” outcomes.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced account manager or field sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying growth opportunities and taking ownership of their customer portfolio.
What can you expect?

- Build and maintain strong relationships with DDC360 customers, acting as the key regional point of contact and delivering a consistent customer experience.
- Develop and execute effective account plans and identify opportunities to grow existing customer value.
- Identify and convert high-potential regional opportunities that support sustainable, long-term growth.
- Monitor commercial performance against targets, taking corrective action where required and keeping key stakeholders informed of progress.
- Work closely with Key Account Managers, Regional Development Managers, DDC stores and wider internal teams to align regional execution with national strategies and commercial priorities.
- Support the successful conversion and delivery of customer projects, working cross-functionally to maximise “Paint on Wall” opportunities.
- Support product, sustainability and commercial programmes that strengthen customer engagement with the DDC360 proposition.
- Build contractor relationships through regional training, customer forums and events.
- Work collaboratively with DDC stores and local teams to support effective stock management, service delivery and customer engagement.
- Use CRM systems and sales tools to maintain accurate customer information, activity records and opportunity pipelines.
- Manage commercial activity in line with company policies, pricing frameworks and governance requirements.
- Take ownership of your own development, continuously building your sales capability and contributing to the success of the wider sales team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
