BelongWithUs We are actively seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Account Manager to become an integral part of our expanding team, bringing this new business Account Manager function in-house. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a national merchant customer base.
The Role
You'll be at the forefront of our B2B operations, managing and growing accounts worth £7-8 million per year in sales. Based 5 days a week in our Basildon office, you will be part of a close-knit team of 4, collectively responsible for supporting 3 national merchants. Your core focus will be supporting the City Plumbing network and other national builders' merchants with their underfloor heating sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage B2B relationships with everyday branches across national merchants, including City Plumbing, Travis Perkins, and Jewson.
- Design and sell underfloor heating systems for our merchants' end customers through inbound inquiries.
- Proactively hunt for new business by reaching out to new branches and sales colleagues within merchant groups when inbound calls slow down.
- Supply and negotiate with national and international merchants, establishing yourself as their go-to underfloor heating expert.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
