The Company
ER Recruitment are working exclusively with Melita POS, a rapidly growing Leicester-based business specialising in point of sale, retail displays and in-store solutions for major brands.
With more than 25 years of experience, Melita provides an end-to-end service covering design, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and installation, helping clients bring their brands to life in retail environments.
With ambitious growth plans and strong family values at its heart, Melita is looking for an Account Manager who shares its values of Ownership, Loyalty and Ambition and wants to play a key role in taking the business forward.
Role & Responsibilities Of The Account Manager
- Take ownership of lead generation and new business development, making proactive approaches to identify and win new opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, acting as a trusted point of contact
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through new projects, services and solutions
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers across retail, FMCG and related sectors
- Manage client briefs from initial conversation through to project delivery, ensuring expectations are understood and met
- Work closely with the Account Director, 3D Designer and wider internal teams to develop solutions that meet client requirements
- Coordinate client communication throughout projects, keeping stakeholders updated and addressing issues proactively
- Prepare and present proposals, ideas and solutions confidently to clients and prospects
- Maintain a structured approach to pipeline management, activity and targets
- Keep up to date with market developments, client activity and potential new opportunities
- Represent Melita professionally at client meetings, networking opportunities and industry events
- Take ownership of commercial opportunities and contribute to the wider growth strategy

About You As The Account Manager
- Proven experience in a sales, account management or business development role, ideally within retail, FMCG, POS, manufacturing or a related environment
- Confident generating new business and comfortable making proactive approaches to prospective clients
- Strong relationship-builder who can develop credibility with senior decision-makers
- Commercially aware, with a genuine motivation to win business and achieve targets
- Excellent communicator who can confidently present, negotiate and manage client conversations
- Organised and structured in managing a pipeline, follow-ups and multiple client relationships
- Resilient and persistent, with the determination to keep pursuing an opportunity when things don't go to plan
- Customer-focused, with the ability to balance commercial growth with delivering an excellent client experience
- Comfortable working at pace and adapting to changing priorities
- A natural team player who can collaborate effectively with creative, operational and production teams
- Someone who genuinely demonstrates Ownership, Loyalty and Ambition
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months is essential due to travel

Additional Benefits
- Up to £40,000 basic salary
- This role is a hybrid position in the office one day per week, with travel to clients and home working on other days – autonomy to manage your own diary
