Global Trade Account Manager
We are seeking a commercially focused and customer-centric Global Trade Account Manager to join our Global Trade Management team. This role is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, customer retention, and sustainable revenue growth.
As the key link between customers and Uniserve, you will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with operational teams to deliver innovative end-to-end supply chain solutions. You will play a critical role in supporting customer success, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the highest standards of account management across a diverse global customer portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, driving customer retention and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including director and executive-level contacts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
- Lead regular customer review meetings, presenting KPIs, performance updates, and improvement plans.
- Develop and maintain customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure service delivery aligns with agreed expectations.
- Monitor customer performance against agreed KPIs and identify opportunities for operational and commercial improvement.
- Support pricing reviews, quotations, contract renewals, and tender submissions.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across Uniserve's portfolio of supply chain solutions.
- Work closely with internal operational teams to manage escalations, resolve service issues, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Analyse customer performance data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, partners, and key internal stakeholders to deliver business objectives.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in account management, customer success, or supply chain customer management within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain activities, including freight, customs, warehousing, and distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers.
- Commercially minded with experience supporting pricing, quotations, tenders, and account growth initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing customer reviews, business reviews, and service performance discussions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive problem solver with a focus on delivering effective customer solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with Power BI experience advantageous.
- Experience within ocean freight, air freight, road freight, customs compliance, or broader supply chain services would be highly desirable.
