BMS Account Manager
I am looking for an experienced BMS Account Manager to work with my client in London and to take ownership of a portfolio of key clients within a well-established Building Management Systems and Building Performance business. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the BMS/BEMS market, can build strong relationships at every level and knows how to develop existing accounts into long-term, profitable partnerships. The role is paying up to £75,000 per annum and is based in London.
The Role
You’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key clients, working closely with both customers and internal Operations teams to ensure services deliver measurable results – from lower energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions to better-performing buildings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients, from site teams through to senior executives
- Understanding clients’ estates, business objectives, energy strategies and Net Zero goals
- Holding regular client reviews to assess performance, agree priorities and identify future opportunities
- Developing strategic account plans focused on retention, growth and long-term relationships
- Identifying opportunities for BMS/BEMS upgrades, enhancements, energy optimisation and additional services
- Leading bids and producing proposals, presentations and building survey recommendations
- Managing contract renewals and commercial negotiations while protecting margin
- Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecast
- Working closely with Operations to ensure projects and services are profitable, deliverable and handed over effectively
- Monitoring performance against contracts and SLAs and resolving issues before they impact the client
- Supporting the resolution of commercial and invoice queries across your accounts

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
