Our client is a specialist water treatment company dedicated to delivering high-quality water management solutions for commercial and industrial customers. They are recognised for technical excellence and customer service, helping clients maintain efficient, compliant, and reliable water systems. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Water Treatment Account Manager / Service Engineer. This role combines technical water treatment expertise with client relationship management, ensuring customers receive outstanding service and effective treatment solutions across steam, cooling, and closed-loop systems. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, carry out site visits, monitor water treatment performance, provide technical recommendations, and ensure all service activities are accurately documented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customer accounts.
  • Conduct routine water treatment service visits across customer sites.
  • Monitor and maintain treatment programmes for steam, cooling, and closed-loop systems.
  • Carry out on-site testing, sampling, and analysis of water systems.
  • Provide technical recommendations and corrective actions where required.
  • Produce accurate service reports and maintain detailed records.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, legislation, and customer requirements.
  • Plan and manage your own schedule to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer systems and support business growth.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment, specifically including steam and cooling systems.
  • Previous account management or customer relationship management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence (role involves regular travel to customer sites).

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of treatment requirements for steam systems.
  • Experience with closed-loop water treatment systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage your own workload, schedule, and priorities.
  • Knowledge of water treatment best practices and industry compliance requirements.
  • Experience producing technical reports and recommendations.
