Role overview

Own and grow a portfolio of foodservice, wholesale, QSR and multi-site customers. You will build trusted partnerships, identify profitable growth opportunities, and lead customer activity from brief through to launch and ongoing development.

Success in this role requires strong commercial thinking, accurate forecasting, proactive risk management, and effective cross-functional working.

Location

Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Office and customer-facing, with travel as required. Reporting to the Head of Sales.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and develop customer relationships, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Create account plans focused on profitable growth, retention and long-term value.
  • Grow sales and margin through new listings, cross-sell, up-sell and menu development.
  • Use sales, margin and market insight to identify opportunities and manage risks.
  • Prepare and lead customer presentations, proposals, tenders and negotiations.
  • Own customer forecasts and maintain accurate CRM, pricing and account records.
  • Lead briefs, NPD projects and launches from opportunity through to review.
  • Work closely with Marketing, NPD, Technical, Customer Service, Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Consider the wider business impact before making customer commitments.
  • Represent Bold Foods at meetings, demonstrations and industry events.

Key skills & experience

Essential

  • B2B account management or commercial sales experience, ideally within foodservice, beverage, FMCG or hospitality.
  • Proven ability to grow customer relationships, sales and profitability.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive and accountable, with effective project management skills.
  • Confident using CRM, Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable

  • Experience with distributors, wholesalers, QSR or multi-site operators.
  • Experience of NPD, private label, menu development or product launches.
  • Knowledge of beverage ingredients, syrups, sauces or powders.

  • Deliver sustainable sales and margin growth.
  • Build trusted, long-term customer partnerships.
  • Maintain clear account plans, accurate forecasts and current CRM records.
  • Deliver briefs and launches with pace, clarity and ownership.
  • Identify commercial, supply and relationship risks early.
  • Bring relevant customer, market and competitor insight into the business.
