A little about us
If sport is the thing that gets you out of bed in the morning, we want to hear from you.
At KitKing, sport isn’t just the industry we work in. It’s what we love. We want people in our team who genuinely care about sport, who understand what it means to be part of a team, a club or a sporting community, and who get excited about the opportunity to help those organisations grow.
For more than 30 years, KitKing has been supplying teamwear to clubs, schools, universities and sporting organisations across the UK. What started as a retail store has grown into one of the UK’s leading specialist teamwear providers, working with some of the biggest brands in global sport, including Nike, adidas, Puma, Macron and Joma.
We serve our athletes from grassroots to greatness in many sports including football, cricket, rugby, hockey and basketball. Alongside KitKing, we are also growing our family of brands, including KitQueen, our specialist women’s and girls’ brand, created to support one of the fastest growing areas of sport.
We may be over 30 years old but we’re only getting started.
We’re an ambitious, fast moving business with exciting plans for the future, and we’re looking for a KitKing Account Manager who shares that ambition. Someone commercially driven, brilliant at building relationships and hungry to find the next opportunity.
Most importantly, we want someone who loves sport. Someone who wants to get out there, meet clubs, understand their ambitions, build partnerships and play a genuine part in the next stage of KitKing’s growth.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of KitKing accounts, including major partners across football, cricket, basketball and netball.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with customers and becoming a key point of contact for their organisation.
- Developing a thorough understanding of each customer's organisation, commercial objectives, teamwear requirements and future opportunities.
- Creating account development plans that identify opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen long term partnerships.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing accounts and across the wider market.
- Producing high quality proposals, presentations and design packs that bring KitKing's products and ideas to life.
- Leading customer meetings, pitches, commercial discussions and negotiations.
- Working confidently with senior decision makers and stakeholders within sporting organisations.
- Managing opportunities through the sales process and converting prospects into long term KitKing partners.
- Forecasting account requirements and working with internal teams to support accurate stock and production planning.
- Monitoring orders and account activity to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date customer, pipeline and opportunity information within the company's CRM and other systems.
- Working collaboratively with sales, customer service, operations, design, marketing, purchasing and other internal teams to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Representing KitKing professionally at customer meetings, sporting events, exhibitions and industry activities.
- Regularly visiting accounts and partners across the UK.
- Monitoring account performance against agreed commercial targets and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Staying informed about developments within teamwear, sport and the wider sporting goods market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
