Account Manager – Wholesale & Cash & Carry - Remote
£45,000–£50,000+ Bonus + Car/Car Allowance | South of England | Food & FMCG
We’re partnering with a growing UK food and drinks business looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced Account Manager focused on Wholesale and Cash & Carry.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who understands the wholesale market and enjoys building relationships, growing accounts and identifying new business opportunities across the South of England.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of wholesale and cash & carry customers, with a strong focus on driving sales, developing existing accounts and winning new business. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, negotiate commercial terms and develop joint business plans that deliver sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow wholesale and cash & carry accounts
- Develop strong, long-term customer relationships
- Identify and win new business opportunities
- Drive sales and maximise revenue across the region
- Negotiate pricing, promotions and commercial terms
- Develop and deliver joint business plans
- Take responsibility for customer P&L and commercial performance
- Work closely with internal Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations teams
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for growth
- Regularly visit customers across the South of England

About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Proven Account Management or Business Development experience within Food/FMCG
- Strong experience working with Wholesale and/or Cash & Carry customers
- A strong commercial and sales mindset
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing customer accounts and delivering growth
- The confidence to identify and develop new business
- A good understanding of the UK food and FMCG market
- The flexibility to travel regularly across the South of England
