Background

Every client we work with has one person at Solar on Steroids responsible for their success, and that's you. You'll own the relationship with up to 30 of the UK's leading solar installers, making sure everyone gets the results they signed up for, trusts the numbers and stays with us.

Reporting to our Client Success & Delivery Lead, you'll sit in our Solar pod with a creative strategist and a media buyer. You keep clients informed on what we're doing, why it's working and what comes next, and you hold them to their side of the deal so they get the results they're after. Your book builds gradually to 30 clients, with support, not all at once, and you'll help shape how customer success works here as we grow.

Many of our installers are ex-trade who got off the tools and built their own businesses. They want straight answers, not long corporate decks, and plenty of them become friends: our team regularly goes out for meals with clients, hosts them at the office, and has even been invited to their weddings.

We're looking for someone who is honest by default, would rather fix a problem than hide it, and is as comfortable sending a casual WhatsApp to a local installer as leading a performance review with a national company.

Why Solar on Steroids?

We're the UK's biggest solar marketing agency, behind roughly 3% of every solar installation in the country, with over £30m in sales generated for more than 60 installers. Every quote and sale we generate pulls through live onto our own website, so there's nowhere to hide. That's how we like it.

Solar on Steroids is the first business under the On Steroids brand. We've launched Windows on Steroids for window and door installers, with more home services verticals to follow. Our core service is one thing done exceptionally well: high-production video ads for ambitious home services businesses. Around it, we're building a small set of services that solve the next problems our clients hit as they grow.

Our own API feeds every quote and sale back into the ad account, so we optimize for cost per sale, not vanity metrics. AJ Renewables made over £583,000 in 30 days from £17,000 of ad spend, and we beat the previous campaigns of Ireland's biggest installer by more than 5x within two weeks. We grew 61x in 2025 and are targeting 5x in 2026 and 2x in 2027. Hear our clients in their own words at solaronsteroids.com/wall-of-love.

Main Accountabilities

  • Run the introduction call, set up the WhatsApp group, and run the onboarding call to gather everything the pod needs and book the shoot. From the first conversation, set clear expectations on what happens next, what good looks like and what we need from them.
  • Own the relationship as the client's first point of contact, mostly on WhatsApp, handling their requests and concerns and owning their experience with Solar on Steroids.
  • Explain the results: know what each client's ads are producing in quotes and sales, and why, and explain it in plain English, including when the news isn't good. We tell clients what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear.
  • Hold clients accountable for their side of the deal: answering leads quickly, following up quotes and turning up to shoots ready. When they slip, tell them kindly and directly, and help them fix it.
  • Keep a steady rhythm: two written WhatsApp check-ins a week for every client (one on their data, one general) and a monthly in-depth performance review call.
  • Spot trouble before it starts: notice when a client is under pressure, going quiet or losing faith, flag it to the team and fix it before it becomes a lost partnership.
  • Speak up for the client inside the pod, feeding what clients tell you back to your creative strategist and media buyer so the next shoot and the overall campaign reflect what they actually need.
  • Run the quarterly satisfaction survey, act on what it tells you, and report on satisfaction and churn across your book.
  • Grow the account: once a client is getting results, introduce the services that fix their next bottleneck, including CRM build and management on our own custom platform, recruitment, coaching through our network of consultants, new advertising platforms and cross-referrals to our partners. Help onboard the clients who say yes, and earn commission on every one you sell.
  • Keep the records straight: log every call, promise and change so anyone in the business can pick up the context at a glance.
  • Improve how we do it: Customer Success here is still being built. Spot what slows you down or lets a client slip, and improve our processes, templates and systems, working with Leo, our Systems Architect, on data and tooling.
  • Leave signing clients to sales, planning shoots to the creative strategist and running the ad account to the media buyer. Your job is making sure every client is happy and getting the results they want.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience & Skills

  • Can explain how a client's ads are performing, including cost per sale or dipping leads, in a way that's easy to understand.
  • Experience in client success, account management or client services is a bonus, especially at a marketing, creative or media agency, but it isn't essential.
  • If you've worked in a different role, tell us why you'd make the jump and how you'd get up to speed quickly.
  • Strong organisation and record-keeping across a book of up to 30 clients.
  • Able to be in our Manchester office two days a week and travel across the UK to meet clients.

The Benefits of Working at Solar on Steroids

  • The results are real, and you can see them. You're not defending reach and impressions. Every quote and sale lands in our system, so you can show a client exactly what their ads made them.
  • Your clients become friends. Many are ex-trade installers who want straight answers, not decks and "circle back" calls.
  • Nothing waits on a million approvals. If a client needs something fixed, you say so on Monday and the pod acts on it that day.
  • You earn when your clients grow. You introduce new services to the clients they suit and earn commission on every one you sell. A client who stays and grows is worth more than any new signing, and you're paid like it.
  • Competitive pay. £36,000 base salary and £45,000 on-target earnings, including bonuses tied to monthly churn and commission on the services you sell, plus team-wide bonuses when we hit company milestones.
  • Real room to climb. Charlotte joined as our first full-time hire in August 2025 as a Creative Strategist, became Senior Creative Strategist in December 2025, and moved into Client Success & Delivery Lead in September 2026. Every pod we stand up needs a CSM, every vertical we open needs a pod, and there's a clear path to Head of Customer Success.
  • AI-first, on purpose. Our own AI operating system pulls data from every platform we use each night, with an AI layer that answers questions and acts on our tools in plain English. Leo, our Systems Architect, puts every client's performance at your fingertips, so you spend less time on admin and more time talking to clients.
  • 28 days' paid holiday, plus Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve off.
  • Hybrid working. Two days a week in our Manchester office, the rest from home, plus 10 days a year working remotely from abroad.
  • UK travel to meet clients, with every expense covered: hotels, fuel and vehicle depreciation.
  • A speedboat, not a freight ship.
