Role - Account Manager
Location
National (flexible base location anywhere in the UK)
About The Role
We're looking for a commercially focused Account Manager to join Relay, part of Royal Mail. You'll manage a portfolio of key customers across established and emerging markets, including the healthcare sector, ensuring excellent service delivery while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve profitability.
Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you'll act as a trusted partner to customers, driving account development, supporting new business opportunities and delivering successful commercial outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Managing and developing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts to maximise retention, growth and profitability.
- Building strong customer relationships and acting as the primary point of contact.
- Identifying and converting new revenue opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Developing account plans aligned to customer and business objectives.
- Leading customer reviews and business planning meetings.
- Monitoring contract performance and driving improvements to service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Supporting contract changes, service implementations and contingency planning.
- Contributing to wider business development and growth initiatives.

Your Experience
- Experience managing customer relationships within a commercial or operational environment.
- A track record of achieving revenue growth and customer retention targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to analyse performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience managing complex customer issues and delivering effective resolutions.
- Commercial acumen with a focus on profitability, value creation and customer satisfaction.
- A proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.
