About the opportunity

Via is partnering with a growing technology and digital services business to recruit an Account Manager for its SMB customer team in Manchester.

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of around 100 small and medium-sized business customers, building strong relationships, retaining accounts and identifying opportunities to grow revenue through renewals, upselling and cross-selling.

This is a commercially focused account management role, but you don't need to come from a technology background. We're interested in people who know how to manage a portfolio of B2B customers, build relationships with decision-makers and spot opportunities to grow accounts. You'll work closely with internal sales, service and technical teams to make sure customers receive a great experience while achieving your own revenue and performance targets.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of around 100 SMB customers
  • Build long-term relationships with key customer contacts and decision-makers
  • Understand each customer's business, priorities and commercial needs
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services
  • Manage contract renewals and support customer retention
  • Proactively identify accounts at risk of churn and take action to retain them
  • Lead regular customer service and commercial review meetings
  • Develop account plans and identify opportunities for future growth
  • Have confident commercial conversations around pricing, renewals and additional services
  • Work with internal teams to resolve customer issues
  • Act as an escalation point when customers need additional support
  • Maintain accurate account and pipeline information
  • Achieve individual revenue, retention and performance targets

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
