Account Manager – Life Science & Laboratory

Territory: Northern Half of Ireland | Ideally Belfast-based
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + £10,000+ OTE | Company Car | Pension

About the Company

Our client is an established manufacturer and market leader within the life science and laboratory sector. Operating for over 60 years, they have built an excellent reputation for their product quality, technical expertise, and long-standing customer relationships.
They supply an extensive portfolio of laboratory and diagnostic products to customers across hospitals, universities, research facilities, and private laboratories.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an Account Manager to cover the northern half of Ireland, ideally based in or around Belfast.

The Role

This is predominantly an account management role where you will take responsibility for an established customer base across your territory, developing relationships, and identifying opportunities to increase sales across the company's wider product portfolio.

Your role will include:

  • Managing and growing existing accounts across the northern half of Ireland
  • Developing relationships with laboratories across hospitals, universities, research facilities, and private organizations
  • Identifying opportunities to increase product penetration within existing customers
  • Selling laboratory consumables alongside larger capital equipment
  • Meeting laboratory managers, scientists, researchers, and other key decision-makers
  • Providing product information, demonstrations, and technical support
  • Identifying new opportunities within the territory where appropriate
  • Managing your own diary, customer visits, and sales pipeline
  • Working towards quarterly sales targets

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
