The Opportunity:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established cleaning and facilities services provider for an experienced Account Manager to lead the cleaning and compliance operation at a prestigious commercial office building in the heart of the City of London.
Our client specialises in delivering high-quality cleaning and workplace services across prestigious commercial properties, with a strong focus on service excellence, sustainability, innovation, and creating positive environments for both their people and building occupiers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Manager, Cleaning Manager, or Soft Services Manager to take responsibility for a high-profile City of London contract and lead a large, high-performing cleaning operation.
The site is an impressive 40-storey modern commercial development in the heart of the City of London, providing premium office space for several leading international organisations. Completed in 2019, the building forms part of the newer generation of high-rise developments that have helped shape the City’s modern skyline. Designed to provide a first-class working environment, it combines high-quality office accommodation with retail, amenity, and public spaces.

This is a busy, high-profile corporate environment where exceptional standards of cleaning, presentation, and service are essential to creating a positive experience for tenants and visitors.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day cleaning operation, leading and developing frontline teams while building strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders. The role combines operational delivery, people management, compliance, and commercial responsibility, with a focus on continually improving standards and delivering an exceptional experience for tenants and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day cleaning and soft services operation.
- Lead, motivate, and develop cleaning staff, site supervisors, and periodic teams.
- Build strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
- Ensure cleaning standards consistently meet contractual SLAs.
- Manage payroll, recruitment, training, and first-level HR matters.
- Monitor contract budgets and financial performance.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual contract reports.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, RAMS, COSHH, and industry standards.
- Manage stock, equipment, uniforms, and consumables.
- Support staff wellbeing and sustainability initiatives.
- Respond effectively to client requests and changing operational priorities.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

About You:
They are looking for someone with:
- Experience within commercial cleaning, soft services, or facilities management.
- Strong management and leadership experience.
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and experience managing budgets.
- Knowledge of SLAs, compliance, health & safety, RAMS, and COSHH.
- Strong organisational, reporting, and IT skills.
- The ability to motivate and develop frontline teams.
- A proactive, professional, and flexible approach.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment.
