Role Description

The Account Manager is a full-time on-site role based in Rotherham, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business customers across South Yorkshire, Humber, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire. Day-to-day, the role involves:

The Account Manager will:

  • Prepare proposals
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service delivery

The role includes:

  • Coordinating with internal technical and support teams
  • Monitoring account performance
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling

The Account Manager will also:

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Provide regular account reviews
  • Support local marketing or networking activities to increase brand presence

Qualifications

  • Strong account management and customer relationship skills, with the ability to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Experience in sales or business development, including prospecting, proposal creation, and contract negotiation.
  • Good understanding of telecommunications, connectivity, or technology services, or a willingness to learn these quickly.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple accounts and meeting deadlines.
  • Comfort with using CRM systems and basic digital tools (email, spreadsheets, online collaboration platforms).
  • Proactive, results-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer experiences.
  • Previous experience in a B2B environment and knowledge of the local business landscape is advantageous.
  • Relevant education or training in business, sales, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent experience is also valued.
