Digital Services Operations

Digital Services Operations are responsible for the overall IT and Telecommunication service delivery to NHSGGC including the delivery of the underpinning technical infrastructure and applications to support the health and corporate directorates across NHSGGC to agreed KPI’s and SLA’s. In addition, Information security and compliance.

Architecture Services Account Manager

Key aspects of the Architecture Services Account Manager role include:

  • Leadership and Management: Leadership and management of teams involved in assessing and implementing new technologies into complex technical environments across Primary and Secondary care as well as Community and Mental Health.
  • Operational Services and Compliance: Ensure new and existing Operational services, support, contracts and engagement across Primary, Secondary, Community and Mental Health are fit to meet the needs of NHSGGC. Ensure NHSGGC systems, Infrastructure and support develop to meet the Boards Digital as Usual Strategy.
  • Strategic Planning: Work as a senior leader in the Digital Services Operations senior management team and Digital Services senior management team. Lead on development and delivery of medium and long-term strategic plans ensuring that complex implementations are presented in a clear and understandable manner to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
  • Security and Procedures: Ensure that systems and support teams operate safe and secure processes and procedures which can be evidenced to be in line with NHSGGC and National policy.
  • Budget and Contracts Management: Manage budgets and contracts in line with NHSGGC financial instructions and ensure that best value is achieved whilst identifying investment opportunities that will support efficiencies.
  • Service Improvements: Identify and implement service improvements across NHSGCC. Ensure appropriate continuity plans are in place. Work with stakeholders across NHGSCC to ensure plans are tested and reliable.
  • Relationship Development: Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across NHSGGC, NHS Scotland and across public sector to ensure NHSGGC is able to shape and take advantage of technology changes.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced Digital Services Manager with evidential experience of working at a strategic level on Digital Services to fulfil this demanding role. You will work as an integral part of the wider Digital Services Senior Management team at a senior level, providing comprehensive customer focused operational Digital Services to all NHSGGC staff and services.

  • NHSGGC has a Digital Delivery plan and working with colleagues across Digital Services and NHSGGC is a key requirement of this post.
  • The ability to engage with and influence senior managers and clinicians across NHSS will be key to the success of this role.
  • Significant experience of Operational support for digital services and a strong understanding of public sector financial management are preferable.
  • Extensive experience in the development of KPIs and Operational Level Agreements or Service Level Agreements.

Qualifications

  • Educated to a Degree Level, preferably at a Masters Level, or with equivalent professional experience and in ITIL (Professional Best Practice Qualifications used in Technology Services).
  • Managerial competencies including excellent team-working and communication skills, written as well as verbal, leadership and organisational skills, commercial awareness, customer focus, analytical and planning skills are essential in this role.
  • Excellent customer relationship, service provision, service development, supplier management and programme management skills are critical to success.

Skills

  • Skilled in analytical reviews and techniques and able to demonstrate the confident presentation of reports and the use of Information Technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and NHS applications.
  • Ideally have experience and knowledge of health-related data.

Job Details

This is a full-time permanent post worked between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
