Pinewood.AI: Account Manager – Automotive Intelligence Platform
About the Role
Pinewood.AI is seeking a commercially-minded Account Manager to join our growing sales team.
This focused account management role involves building strong, long-term relationships with mid-market automotive retail customers, ensuring they maximise value from the Pinewood.AI Automotive Intelligence Platform, including our industry-leading AI solutions.
As a trusted advisor, you’ll take a consultative and solution-led approach, addressing customer challenges to improve platform adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Working closely with Product, Support, Delivery, and Sales, you’ll enhance customer retention, identify growth opportunities, and provide exceptional ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship & Growth
- Own a portfolio of mid-market customer accounts, serving as the primary relationship owner for key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Build trusted, long-term partnerships that drive satisfaction, retention, advocacy, and commercial growth
- Implement a structured customer engagement strategy, combining on-site visits, remote meetings, and regular account reviews
Solution Adoption & Value Delivery
- Consultatively approach customers to understand challenges, priorities, and business objectives
- Drive adoption of Pinewood.AI’s platform and AI solutions across customer organisations
- Identify areas of underutilisation and increase engagement, usage, and value realisation
- Ensure customers achieve measurable business outcomes and ROI from the platform
Commercial Account Management
- Take ownership of account growth targets, identifying and progressing opportunities to expand value and revenue
- Develop and execute upsell and cross-sell strategies for modules, AI solutions, integrations, training, and professional services
- Lead or support commercial discussions, including renewals, user expansion, and value-based pricing

Account Planning & Collaboration
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans, using customer data, platform insights, and business objectives
- Conduct regular business reviews, aligning on clear actions and next steps with customers
- Collaborate seamlessly with Product, Support, Delivery, and Sales teams to resolve challenges and enhance experience
- Share customer feedback to drive product innovation and continuous improvement
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, sales pipelines, and opportunities within Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in account management, customer success, or SaaS sales
- Customer-first mindset, with a focus on relationship-building
- Strong understanding of automotive dealership operations, including DMS (Dealer Management Systems) environments
- Experience selling software or technology solutions to automotive retailers
- Impeccable stakeholder management skills (both mid-level and senior)
- Commercially acumen, with experience supporting sales/retention targets
- Track record of identifying and closing growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Ability to align technological solutions with customer challenges and business needs
- Experience with a consultative, solution-led approach
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
- Experience analysing customer performance, usage data, and trends
- Comfortable in a fast-paced SaaS environment, with cross-functional collaboration
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRMs
Desirable
- Hands-on experience in automotive retail environments
- Knowledge of Pinewood.AI or comparable automotive retail technology
- Expertise in customer lifecycle management, account planning, and methodologies
