Job Description

POLITICO is looking for an Account Manager to grow and retain the subscriptions that put our intelligence in front of the people shaping policy in the United Kingdom.

POLITICO Pro is the subscription service that policy professionals rely on to understand what is coming before it arrives. Our UK customers include government departments, trade associations, corporates, law firms, consultancies and NGOs, organizations for whom being early on a policy decision is worth a great deal.

This role is about keeping those relationships strong and growing them. Our contracts run from one to five years, and when they come up for renewal, you make the case for what comes next. It is a straightforward commercial job with one clear number to hit and a product that sells itself when explained well.

The successful candidate will be persuasive in more than one language, comfortable owning a target, and genuinely driven to succeed. You will work alongside our London new business team and report to our Sales Manager in Brussels, so you will need the autonomy to run your own week.

This is a full-time role based in our London office, with two days a week on site.

Who You Are

  • You speak at least two languages fluently (English being one of them).
  • You build relationships easily, and you are good in a room.
  • You can work autonomously.
  • You’re skilled at cultivating long-term relationships with clients and agencies, earning trust through transparency, responsiveness, and results.
  • You thrive on uncovering client needs and developing thoughtful, creative solutions that align with their goals.
  • You’re motivated by outcomes and how to measure success—whether through campaign performance, client satisfaction, or revenue growth.
  • A data-informed decision-maker who leverages Salesforce or other CRM and performance metrics to drive growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a pool of accounts, having full ownership of the service provided, and ensuring they get the best delivery from POLITICO Professional Services.
  • Renew multi-year contracts and grow their value at renewal.
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers across government, industry, associations, and advisory firms.
  • Solicit feedback on content and delivery of services, and channel market feedback to improve upon Pro service offerings/user experience.
  • Represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events, and industry conferences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Cabinet secretaries and Ministers start their mornings with our analysis. CEOs shape strategy around our reporting. Advocacy leaders rely on our insights to move policy. We deliver the straightforward facts and clear-eyed analysis they need to navigate the most complex political landscape of our lifetimes.

Our 1,100+ publishing professionals across the world's key democratic capitals—Washington, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Sacramento, and New York—form the world's premier politics and policy newsroom. We tell the story of how power really works by explaining who wields it and how they plan to exercise it, connecting dots others miss and delivering scoops from sources others don't even know exist.

Innovation has always been a core tenet of our story. At launch, we bet that depth would trump scale, that talent would trump traffic, and that politics would become central to modern life. In 2011, we made another bet and launched POLITICO Pro to help decision-makers understand the business of government, transforming both how they shape government action and the business of journalism itself.

These bets have made POLITICO the most successful digital news startup of its generation and the indispensable resource for leaders who shape the future. Today, we are a rarity in media: a growing, profitable, and sustainable news organization.

POLITICO is a subsidiary of Axel Springer SE, a family-owned transatlantic media company headquartered in Berlin and New York. Axel Springer is dedicated to shaping the future of journalism in the free world, believing that a free and informed society is essential to democracy. The company’s guiding principles - first articulated as The Essentials by founder Axel Springer in the aftermath of World War II - remain a cornerstone of the company’s foundation today.
