Regional Account Manager

Manchester

Salary up to £60,000 + £20k OTE + Car Allowance

The Opportunity

Get Recruited are working with a well-established and growing B2B supplier of workplace products, safety solutions and consumables, supporting organisations with large operational workforces across a range of sectors.

We're looking for an experienced B2B salesperson with a background in selling physical products, ideally into operational, industrial, construction, manufacturing, logistics or similar environments.

You'll spend the majority of your time out meeting customers face-to-face, while having full ownership of planning and managing your territory.

The Role

  • Managing and developing a regional portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to increase spend and expand into additional product categories.
  • Conducting regular face-to-face customer meetings, strategic reviews and presentations.
  • Building relationships with multiple stakeholders across customer organisations.
  • Understanding customers' operations, challenges and future requirements to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Presenting new products, solutions and innovations to customers.
  • Supporting larger commercial opportunities where a face-to-face approach can help secure the business.
  • Working closely with Internal Account Managers to create joined-up account growth plans.
  • Using CRM, customer data and spend patterns to identify gaps and prioritise opportunities.
  • Producing professional presentations, reports and strategic account reviews.
  • Managing your own diary, territory and customer activity effectively.

The Person

  • You'll be an established Account Manager looking for greater responsibility, autonomy and earning potential, or already operating in a field-based account development role.
  • You'll have experience in B2B sales of physical products, with a track record of developing and growing existing customer accounts.
  • A strong, proactive salesperson who enjoys getting in front of customers and identifying opportunities to sell additional products.
  • Commercially minded with a natural ability to spot opportunities and increase customer spend.
  • Confident conducting customer meetings and presenting products and solutions to decision-makers.
  • Excellent at building rapport and developing relationships at different levels.
  • Comfortable arranging and conducting meetings in a variety of environments, from customer sites and offices to informal meetings over coffee or in hotel lobbies.
  • Professional and credible when representing the business face-to-face.
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable planning your own diary and territory.
  • Confident preparing and delivering presentations, reports and account reviews.
  • Highly organised and comfortable using CRM and customer data.
  • Collaborative and able to work closely with an internal account management team.
