Location:
Ideally based in Northamptonshire or the surrounding Central England corridor, with easy access to Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Milton Keynes.

Role Overview:
With millions of diners, 70,000+ restaurant partners and 25+ years of experience, OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.
Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.
In this role, you will: As an Account Manager at OpenTable, you will be a vital partner to our restaurant customers across Central England. You will take ownership of your territory, leading customer retention and driving revenue growth by understanding the priorities and challenges of your restaurant partners and helping them get the most from OpenTable’s technology.
Acting as a trusted advisor and industry expert, you will combine strong relationship management with commercial curiosity, meaningful discovery and data-informed insights. You will proactively engage customers, identify opportunities and risks, and help restaurant partners improve their performance and grow their business.
This is a field-focused role requiring regular travel across a broad geographical territory, alongside virtual customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Take proactive ownership of your territory, building a clear plan for customer engagement, retention and revenue growth rather than relying solely on inbound customer needs.
- Drive customer retention and revenue growth by identifying appropriate upsell opportunities and ensuring ongoing partnership success.
- Lead meaningful, discovery-led conversations to understand each restaurant’s priorities, challenges and commercial goals, using these insights to identify opportunities and recommend the right solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to restaurant partners, increasing product and feature adoption to optimise their online presence and business performance.
- Use customer, marketplace and performance data to uncover opportunities, tell compelling stories and demonstrate measurable value to restaurant partners.
- Identify potential churn risks early and take ownership of proactive conversations to retain valuable restaurant partnerships.
- Plan and execute regular field activity across a geographically dispersed territory, creating efficient travel plans and maximising the impact of in-person customer meetings.
- Provide constructive, data-informed insights to help customers overcome obstacles and maximise the value of their OpenTable partnership.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of OpenTable products, services, strategic initiatives, the competitive landscape and relevant hospitality trends to bring credible insight to customer conversations.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional internal teams to ensure smooth customer handovers, share market insights and best practices, and deliver a consistent customer experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
