Description

The role:

Are you a driven sales professional who enjoys winning new business and building strong customer relationships?

PlaceMakers Christchurch Hub is looking for an ambitious Account Manager to grow our customer base and increase market share across the Christchurch region. This is a predominantly hunter-style sales role focused on identifying new opportunities, converting new customers, and building long-term partnerships within the building and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Winning new business and growing market share
  • Building strong relationships with builders, contractors, and key industry stakeholders
  • Prospecting through networking, referrals, and market research
  • Managing opportunities from initial contact through to conversion
  • Working with our team to deliver outstanding customer solutions
  • Staying connected with market trends and identifying growth opportunities
  • Initially focused on new business development, you'll progressively build and manage your own client base, fostering lasting partnerships and repeat business

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

About You

You're a motivated and results-driven sales professional who thrives on creating opportunities and achieving growth.

To Be Successful, You'll Have

  • Has proven success in business development, sales, or account management
  • Enjoys hunting for new business and achieving sales targets
  • Builds strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Is self-motivated, organized, and commercially minded
  • Has experience in the building or construction industry (preferred but not essential)
  • Holds a full New Zealand Driver Licence
