Account Manager – Civil Aerospace – Lessors Customer Team

Derby – Hybrid

Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to join the Rolls-Royce Lessors Team within Civil Aerospace.

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with aircraft lessors, driving the selection, retention, and long-term value of Rolls-Royce products and services throughout the asset lifecycle. The role acts as the primary commercial interface between Rolls-Royce and assigned lessor accounts, aligning customer objectives with Rolls-Royce commercial, technical, and aftermarket offerings.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Marketing, Services, Fleet Management, Asset Management, Commercial Operations, and senior customer stakeholders to maximize revenue, protect market share, and drive long-term partnership value. The role supports both transaction-driven campaigns and broader portfolio strategies across aircraft acquisition, lease placement, fleet transitions, and asset remarketing activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Owning and developing relationships with assigned lessor customers.
  • Building trusted advisor status with senior commercial, technical, and asset management stakeholders.
  • Developing and executing account strategies aligned to customer objectives and Rolls-Royce growth priorities.
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of customer fleets, investment strategies, lease portfolios, and future opportunities.
  • Leading Rolls-Royce engagement on acquisition, financing, transition, and fleet development opportunities.
  • Coordinating internal resources to develop compelling commercial propositions.
  • Supporting major sales campaigns through the development of clear value propositions and business cases.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance margin, accelerate deal closure, and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Promoting adoption of Rolls-Royce service offerings across the lessor portfolio.
  • Identifying opportunities associated with entry into service, mid-life events, transitions, and asset retirement.
  • Working with Services and CareStore teams to maximize aftermarket revenue and customer value and supporting the development of lifecycle-based customer strategies.
  • Monitoring customer commercial exposure and emerging risks, supporting internal governance processes, and customer reviews.
  • Coordinating with Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams on issues impacting customer portfolios and providing insight and recommendations relating to portfolio performance and business risk.
  • Developing a detailed understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and lessor investment priorities.
  • Sharing customer insights that influence product positioning, pricing strategies, and campaign planning.
  • Contributing to the development of customer-specific value propositions, account plans, and growth strategies.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure consistent customer engagement and acting as the voice of the customer within Rolls-Royce.
  • Ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Services, Commercial, and Executive stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior management engagement plans and executive customer meetings.
  • Delivering account strategies that support growth in installed base, services adoption, customer retention, and revenue, while improving customer satisfaction and strategic partnership outcomes.
  • Supporting accurate forecasting, reporting, opportunity management, and effective management of customer risk and exposure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
