I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You know your customer is in a position to buy.
You know they are looking to protect themselves.
You have more information on that business than you could dream of normally.
You would be in EVERY single onboarding conversation, which means you should be able to bring them on.
Why else would you join?
- Commission: Receive 20% of any deal in commission for customers converted to cybersecurity customers, and 10% of renewals. You can expect at least double OTE but probably far more if you work for it.
- Elite sales environment: The business is a trading floor environment, with some incredible sales people in the building
- Opportunity: The business is 5 years old, flying through £10m ARR and growing relentlessly. This is a new division for the business and there is huge opportunity to play a key role in the company's growth
- Shares: Your success will be rewarded with shares. There is a plan to sell
- Consultative selling: You will be selling in a very consultative segment of the market, often with large businesses who are already bought in.
