Are you an Account Manager with knowledge of and a love for cycling or an active lifestyle?
If so, SHIFT Active Media may have the perfect role for you. Before we get started, this role is 4 days a week in the office in Bath, England.
About the Role
As Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of integrated communications strategies, from Paid, to PR, creative to organic social - from the inception of the brief to presentation of the finished strategy - working alongside our Business Directors & Head of Departments. Whilst throughout monitoring the campaign, reporting on the campaign results, and finally wrapping up and presenting actionable learnings alongside the internal stakeholders. Great communication, organisation, and project management are key skills required to be a part of the team.
Client liaison is a core part of this role, being a people person is essential. So we’re looking for a natural relationship builder with first-rate rapport-building talents.
The Role
It's the perfect opportunity for an energetic, go-getting person who gets a real buzz out of nurturing client relationships and who is great at getting projects delivered - and loves all things bikes or the outdoors! It'll be extremely varied and you'll get to work with clients all over the world, who share the same passion for cycling (in all its forms) or an active life - like we do.
The role will require you to:
- Project Management and Communication: You demonstrate exceptional project management skills, meticulously planning and tracking tasks to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Your keen attention to detail ensures nothing is overlooked, from initial briefing to final execution. As a strong communicator, you clearly articulate project objectives, progress, and challenges, keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed.

Written and presentation skills: You’re able to produce well-crafted, well-laid-out presentations and documents and present these confidently and engagingly.

Marketing know-how: You embrace the opportunities presented by digital, social and mobile channels as well as have a strong understanding of more traditional channels, with a good grasp of how consumers use them, how they work, and what’s possible.

Learn about the clients business: Develop an understanding of the client’s business model. Know how it is performing. Know what market they are in. Know their products inside out. Know their competitive threats. Know what success looks like for the Clients themselves. Apply this knowledge to every project.

Brand understanding: You’re confident in getting under the skin of a brand and understanding its consumers; you will be able to articulate what the brand’s tone of voice, target audience, and positioning are and be able to offer up ideas that strengthen the brand positioning in the minds of the consumer.

Work closely with team management: Provide what is necessary for outstanding delivery. Identify and help manage Client stakeholders. Inform and inspire the Agency team. Allow creativity to flourish.

Develop a strong understanding of digital: Continually learn from the experts around you. Know how to leverage data. Know how to join the dots with other disciplines.
About you:
At Account Manager level, we expect you to have some good, relevant marketing and account management experience, perhaps from working in a marketing communications agency.
You will have experience of developing strategies as part of a team - as well as project and account management.
The successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of three years relevant work experience.
You will need superb communication and organisational skills to hit project deadlines.
We seek someone who has a passion for cycling so ideally, if not cycling specifically, then you definitely need to be interested in sports in general, and ideally an outdoor sport of some type.
